MDX State Road 924 West Extension
MDX has initiated a Project Development and Environment Study (PD&E) for the SR 924/Gratigny Parkway West Extension to the Homestead Extension of Floridabs Turnpike (HEFT). The purpose of this project is to provide a direct connection between the HEFT, 1-75, SR 924/Gratigny Parkway, and SR 826/Palmetto Expressway. Such a connection would provide improved east-west access and mobility throughout the northern section of Miami-Dade County. During the PD&E Study different alternatives will be evaluated as well as any potential impacts of these alternatives. MDX will provide continuous public involvement efforts. In addition to a Kickoff Meeting in April, there will be an Alternatives Workshop in the fall of 2010 and a Public Hearing in the summer of 2011.
