Local Preference
In order to support the economic growth of Miami-Dade County, MDX has adopted a Local Preference in Procurement Policy (the "Policy"). In order to implement the Policy, MDX will be certifying eligible firms as Local Businesses, as defined in the Policy. Please take a minute to review the Policy to determine whether your company fulfills the criteria to become a Local Business. If so, please complete the Local Business Certification Application and return it to MDX for processing.
Please note that in order to be eligible for Local Preference, as defined in the Policy, firms must first be certify as a Local Business by MDX. In addition, certification must be obtained prior to the deadline to submit proposal/bid for a particular procurement that includes Local Preference.
Also please note that the MDX Local Preference in Procurement Policy is NOT the same policy of the Miami-Dade County, nor will it apply to all procurements.
