Mr. Wartman is the immediate past Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC). He has been an active member of CTAC for over 22 years and currently is the chairman of the surface transportation subcommittee. Mr. Wartman is committed to ensure that proposed transportation projects are responsive to the community's perceived needs and goals. A former member of the original MDX board, he has lived in South Florida for over 44 years. He attended Florida International University where he wrote a master's thesis on traffic and transportation.
