Ms. Smith Fano is the director of Miami Dade College, School of Business's Hospitality Management Program. She has taught and worked with high school students with learning disabilities, developing specific curriculum for their individual needs in addition to developing specialized programs for employment opportunities for minorities and the underrepresented. In addition, she remains active in local, state and federal civic organizations. She received an associate in arts from Miami Dade College, bachelor's in modern languages and master's in hospitality management from Florida International University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in organizational leadership from Northcentral University.
