Ms. Gutiérrez founded Creative Ideas Advertising in 1983, a full service minority-owned advertising agency in South Florida. She has extensive experience in every aspect of the communications field, including writing, producing, directing, and all forms of advertising campaigns, promotions and business development. In addition, she is the creator of a line of dolls named Maru and Friends and is a published author of children's books. Ms. Gutiérrez's civic and community involvement includes serving as a member of the Metropolitan Planning Board for Miami-Dade County, Destination Florida Commission and she is an emeritus member of the Community Partnership for the Homeless Center.
